Actuarial Analyst
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of Employee Health Benefits consulting experience with particular emphasis on healthcare is required.
- Completion of at least 2 actuarial exams administered by the Society of Actuaries with a desire to earn, at minimum, an ASA-designation.
- Knowledge of and experience with aspects of the healthcare marketplace including plan design, pricing, IBNR reserves, experience projections, and administration.
- Demonstrated ability to meet internal and external deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to provide, where appropriate, clear direction or the ability to listen and incorporate the ideas of others.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving clients and internal stakeholders while taking ownership of work product.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior to excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to present in front of external clients
- High degree of self-motivation and creative problem solving
- Knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel, Access, VBA)
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, or desire to learn
- Ability to travel for in-person client and team meetings when needed
