Construction - Claims Consultant
ROLE: The Claims Consultant will have the following skills sets and be able to:
- perform in depth coverage analysis, investigation, liability and potential exposure analysis
- understand claims-made policies
- investigate and resolve coverage disputes
- assist insureds with the development and implementation of resolution strategies of professional and general liability claims
- assist as needed with development of client’s claims programs
- Have superior written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment
- able to prioritize effectively to accomplish objectives with creativity and enthusiasm, and with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate high level of understanding of individual state and civil laws, claims practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze coverage and draft coverage response letters on complex matters.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills; proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Exercise’s initiative: demonstrates accountability, adaptability, service motivation, respects the differences of others, and accepts personal responsibility.
- Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
*Experience with professional liability claims (architect and engineer, medical malpractice, lawyer, E&O) and/or complex general liability construction claims is plus.*
