SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing, executing and adjusting marketing plans to support the overall business and program objectives for select programs or partnerships within the Lockton Affinity portfolio.  Duties will also include understanding program requirements and developing/executing traditional and digital marketing plans/tactics to generate engagement, leads and, for some programs, convert online sales. This position also provides program context and voice of client to creative team to support effective/efficient development of marketing materials.  Ensure all output meets the high standards of Lockton Affinity and its clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Please note, below are the essential responsibilities.  Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for producers or program owners, ensuring successful prioritization, as well as timely and successful delivery of marketing solutions according to program needs and objectives. 
  • Conduct regular touch points with producers or program owners to build, execute and adjust marketing plans, as needed.
  • Create annual marketing plans for assigned programs.  Work with program owner to gain consensus on goals, strategies and requirements for assigned programs and projects. 
  • Understand steps for each type of marketing vehicle (for example, websites, email, print, etc.) from concept to creation through compliance approval and manage process.
  • Develop creative briefs in Workfront work management software that give creative team members the background and direction needed to create targeted and effective materials. 
  • Review marketing deliverables for accuracy and to ensure that marketing messages are consistent and on strategy.
  • Ensure consistency of customer experience and brand voice across various touch points.
  • Supports Copywriter in developing content strategy tied to plans and providing input to optimize content to improve SEO.  
  • Collaborates with internal teams to execute creative that delivers on goals, and is technically feasible to implement.
  • Uses Google Analytics to analyze websites and develops strategies for implementing GA tracking and utilizes Google Tag Manager.  Manages the creation, strategy and implementation of tracking links across assigned programs.
  • Analyze and create reports to understand and adjust results and support the needs of the program owner, as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in discipline-related field (advertising, marketing, business or related) required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field
  • Service-orientation with commitment to quality and demonstrated ability to grow internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to translate company goals and objectives into actionable and measurable marketing plans/tactics
  • High personal accountability and a willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and manage fast-paced projects with strict deadlines
  • Demonstrates initiative, self-reliance, flexibility and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strives for excellence in everything from concept to completion of all projects, on time and on budget
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with graphic designers, web designers, web developers (front end and back end), content developers, and production teams as well as project managers, Program Executives and direct client interaction
  • Experience working in Workfront or other online work management software
  • Demonstrated PC operating systems computer skills required – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.


Preferred

  • Experience working with Google Analytics 
  • Understanding of digital marketing technology platforms including CRM and Marketing Automation software.
