Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite contact for the Kansas City Pharmacy Practice in partnership with the Pharmacy Practice Leader.
  • Support Pharmacy Practice Leader to maintain then grow/scale the scope of the Practice.
  • Coordinate the efforts of pharmacy practice team and pharmacy analytics team members to fulfill project responsibilities.
  • Communicate with vendor partners and other Series Pharmacy Practice Associates.
  • Correspond with clients via phone and email about ongoing operational projects.
  • Partner with pharmacy analytics team on PBM contract renewal and marketing (RFP) projects and with account team on PBM implementations to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Review drafts of PBM contracts, employee pharmacy communication pieces, and other documents as needed.
  • Prepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of pharmacy marketplace, specialty Rx trends, managed care Rx tactics.
  • Assist with and /or lead special projects for clients as needed.
  • Special products may include creative ad-hoc analytics, benchmarking exhibits, research and educational materials.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s/Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field and/or equivalent experience in the Rx industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with pharmacy benefits.
  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with fellow Associates. 
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
  • Ability to interpret financial information and data to facilitate client decision making.  
  • Must have the ability to prepare and possibly present client/internal presentations.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong internal and external customer service skills, along with the ability to develop strong and rewarding relationships. 
  • Be excited and willing to learn new things!
  • Retail / PBM /mail order pharmacy experience and pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PBM contracting and terminology is a plus.
  • Be able to exercise out-of-the-box thinking in order to facilitate creative problem solving.
  • Legally able to work in the United States.
