Senior Account Executive
Experience & Education:
- Twelve or more years’ experience in risk management and insurance marketing, as well as in servicing the insurance needs of large commercial accounts and leading account teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field or equivalent education and/or experience
Technical/Professional:
- Exceptional knowledge of large loss sensitive accounts, captives, self-insured programs and quota-share excess liability programs
- Familiar with full spectrum of national account casualty rating plans and alternative risk products, including captives and integrated risk
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making
- Expertise in evaluating client needs and building risk management strategies and deliverables that support a client’s financial objectives
- Ability to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility and individuals at all levels of life experience, and a personality to comfortably, proactively, and diplomatically coordinate efforts across multiple departments and/or offices
- Overall high business acumen not limited to the insurance industry, but to business in general
General:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with powerful, professional, confident, and persuasive presentation abilities. Demonstrated ability to instill trust, confidence and comfort with clients.
- Current P&C license or ability to obtain immediately
- Exceptional oral/written communication skills; superior negotiation skills
- Strong problem solving/client service skills—must be able to grasp broad business concepts, research complex issues and develop strategies linked to corporate objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instill confidence in clients, prospects, and teams
- Professional/polished presence to represent Lockton in the highest professional manner
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines. Must be able to work under pressure and time constraints. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills, including resolving unusual and complex issues
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and to stay for more than one day and night; ability to travel on short notice
- May directly lead and manage direct reports and assist in providing training and development of Associates
