Transaction Advisory Practice Analyst
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, Accounting preferred) or equivalent education and/or work experience
- High aptitude in mathematical calculations, applicable legal concepts, and general business acumen.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion simultaneously.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret employee benefits and financial information accurately and with attention to detail.
- Must have intermediate/advanced understanding of financial statements, their components, and interworking.
- Must be familiar with types of defined contribution plans, different recordkeepers/TPAs, and have an understanding of the plan provisions that are materially important to the transaction.
- Must be able to review all types of health and welfare and defined contribution plan documents, executive plan insurance policy contracts, collective bargaining contracts, deferred compensation plan documents, equity incentive agreements for materially important information.
- Basic understanding of the benefits applicable and materially important sections of the transaction related documents (e.g. stock purchase agreement, merger agreement, asset purchase agreement, disclosure schedules, employee leasing arrangements, and transition services agreements).
- Basic understanding of transaction liability insurance.
- Strong communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills, including technical writing skills.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- High aptitude for mathematical calculations and applicable legal concepts.
- Basic understanding of business & accounting principles, as well as financial statements in relation to employee benefits concepts.
- Proven team player willing to take direction from TAP Practice Leaders, Transaction Consultants, Transaction Analysts, and/or Producers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility, both within the department and across Lockton to create a cohesive, pleasant work environment.
- Working knowledge of general office and administrative procedures, such as file management, internet search, time and calendar management.
- Willingness to take initiative and ownership in work/projects and see through completion.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, prove credibility, and inspire confidence in others, both internally and externally.
